Hi Matt
Just to say great site. I've got a white DV and I got it in September. Since
then I've done 4000m and had no probs with it.
I spent 2 weeks going down through France and on down to Madrid on it, then had
to find my hotel in Madrid city centre (thank God for a nimble slim DV) traffic
absolute solid gridlock, had to adopt "courier" mode - up pavements
etc! I then toured round the Med coast and went up to Andorra, over the Pyrinees
then back up to Calais. I met all weathers and the DV never missed a beat.
Excellent long distance tourer. I did up to 450 miles some days and although a
bit stiff in the legs afterwards it soon disappeared when you start walking
about. Keep spare clothes to a minimum and space is no problem, even with duty
free stuff and prezzies.
I've got a Honda high screen, fairing lowers, Daytona heated grips (excellent) I
am not sure what type of heated grips to go for. We shall see what my bank
manager says next year. and a Givi top box. As I've got a white DV, I've
put a red stripe along the panniers and front mudguard. It's amazing to watch
the traffic almost hit kerbs as they try to get out of your way when filtering.!
Any DV owners in Essex can email me and maybe we can meet up sometime.
Regards
Colin

Matt,
Deauville riders seem to be having trouble finding neutral, often when stopping at traffic lights ,I think I know what the problem is,
